Zilkha Bio-mass is Monticello’s newest industry.
This will be one of the largest “next generation” pellet plants in Arkansas.
Zillka explained how pellet demand has doubled in the past 2 years, and how hard, durable pellets are designed to replace coal in coal-burning facilities, including other continents.
This plant will produce 100’s of jobs in the plant and area, with 52 inside of the facility.
Gov. Beebe called this a $90,000,000 investment, ideal for southeast Arkansas and Monticello.
Zilkha Black Pellets are water resistant, and the first commercially-available advanced pellet in the industry. They can be stored and transported outside (like coal) and are ideal for use in Europe and Asia.
