Woods Fire Destroys 84 Drew County Acres, Wednesday

A scout plane from the Arkansas Forestry Commission noticed a forest fire, Wednesday afternoon, during it’s “patrol flight”, and reported it to the AFC, Lacey-Ladelle Fire Dept, and Drew County Sheriff’s Dept, who all responded.
The fire was located north of Goose Hollow Road, and did more damage in the area of Van Horn Trail.
AFC sent in crews from Drew, Ashley, and Lincoln Counties, with 5 fire plow dozers.
Lacey Ladelle responded with trucks and ment to assist.
The blaze was controlled by Wednesday evening.
