Woods Fire Near Lacey Greenhill Area, Saturday

Lacey-Ladelle and Valley-Greenhill fire departments, with assistance from Collins-Cominto FD, are currently battling a traveling woods fire that began on Mahon Road around 2:05, crossed Neil Wilson Road, and is approaching Lacey-Greenhill Road, this afternoon.
The Arkansas Forestry Commission is also on the scene with fire plows, cutting lanes to prevent spreading.
One home has been evacuated, by Sheriff Mark Gober and deputies, that are in the area notifying others and helping firefighters.
It is believed that this fire, like 5 other large grass and woods fires in the past two days, began with small fires that spread into large grassy areas, in our county.
