Wife Shoots Husband After Intimacy
December 28th, 2017 by iPhoneAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, on December 22 at 1:30 AM, a Drew County female reportedly shot her husband in the shoulder, following a series of events that occurred at their home.
Reports indicate that the couple were being intimate, when the female asked the male about his relationship with her daughter. At that point the man left the residence, before realizing he left his cigarettes.
When he tried to re-enter the home, he found the front door and back door were locked.
Allegedly, some shouting took place, before he kicked the back door in. This was when the 49-year-old female shot Kenny Ray Lloyd, age 44, in the right shoulder/arm pit area with a handgun.
Mr. Lloyd responded by jumping over some Christmas presents, going to the bedroom, to get a shotgun out of the closet. This is when the female and her daughter left the area on Cook Lane, running into the woods and going to a relatives home on Midway Route.
While deputies interviewed the female, she showed them marks on her face and rib cage from the earlier assault by Lloyd, which led to the later events.
As deputies interviewed Lloyd, soon after, he appeared to be intoxicated.
A 22 Magnum revolver was recovered at the scene, although it has not been confirmed if that was used during the events, that night.
Lloyd has been charged with domestic battery 3rd degree which caused injury.
