Wednesday night, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Angela Cessor (who was supposed to turn herself to be sent toADC had cut her GPS ankle monitor and was attempting to flee.
Deputies went to the area where she reportedly ran to on Hwy. 425 North. They spoke to her husband, who stated that she had ran into an open field. Lt. Nichols requested that the husband, identified as Russell King, show them the specific location. The area he took authorities to was not an open field, but was instead a heavily wooded area.
Deputy Rick Harvey and Lt. Nichols noticed a large amount of clothing in his vehicle, consisting of both men and women’s clothing.
King then changed the location of where Cessor was said to have ran at to a location approximately 5 miles north of his first location.
Lt. Nichols was able to speak to Cessor on different occasions via phone and was able to get her to surrender herself to authorities without incident.
Cessor was picked up in the area of Campground Rd. and taken into custody. Cessor advised Lt. Nichols that her husband had dropped her off in the location in which she was found and told her he would come back in a couple of hours for her after the search ended. She further stated that they were planning on leaving the area so they could spend more time together until she was caught.
Cessor has been transported to the Arkansas Department of Corrections and King was arrested for Hindering Apprehension and has since bonded out of jail. Both Cessor and King will have cases filed against them due to the incident.
