Wherry Not Seeking Interim Mayor Position
March 30th, 2014 by iPhoneSam Wherry , a local business analyst and Bishop, has informed MonticelloLive that he will not seek to run in the election for the position of interim mayor .
While not seeking the interim term, Wherry is still considering a run for the four-year term , which will take place in the November election .

The positive poll results gives validity that I will file as Independent Candidate for Mayor for the General election in November. I(Sam Wherry) had the distinct honor of being the Private-Sector Senior Marketing Research Analyst(Business, Industry, Economic/Community Development) Research and Development Analyst and helped business, financial institutions, industry, our local government, Faith Base and Community Base Non-Profit organizations take advantage of the wide variety of resources available to them. Established 1993 by The Arkansas Bankers Holding Company via Jim Jett provided business, industry and economic/community development planning to The Lower Mississippi Delta and Mid-South. B. As Mayor of Monticello, Arkansas for 2015 and 2014-2019 this same initiative of service be the primary agenda Through person-to-person discussion, identify the specific needs of Business, Industry, Academic/Vocation-Technical Education, Faith Base and Community Base Non-Profit Organization; in addition, help plan growth by developing a solid business, industry, education, community, public safety(security), recreational/social plan. Describe the resources available and help find the funding resources through local / regional entities and my network of associate consultants, venture capitalist, philanthropic foundations (Private& Public), Federal / State entities to implement the plan. D. Effectiveness has/& will be the issue and I am proud to say I have qualified professionals on my team. People who will be committed to assist Monticello and the Region we service(Cornerstone). E. I have high standards and practice doing business/community services by the Golden Rule, which simply means “I treat others as you would like to be treated. F. My Administration will support Local/Regional, State and Federal Constitutional elected who propose legislation that the best government is to allow States and Local Communities to decide how much Government they/we need, want and are willing to pay for.
