Week Long Crime Spree, Ends with County Line Man Hunt – FROM AUGUST
March 19th, 2014 by Joe BurgessThe man Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies were searching for, over the past week, is now assisting them in locating a large portions of the stolen property from his long and wide crime spree, that now has touched three counties.
Through an investigation by multiple departments, and now with the assistance of the suspect, Timothy Forrest, law enforcement officers from Monticello, and Drew and Lincoln Counties, spent most of the day, Monday, collecting stolen items that were hidden (mainly in wooded areas) in Drew, Lincoln, and even Cleveland Counties.
Forrest confessed to investigators that he had committed all crimes that he is currenly being accused of, and is willfully helping them recover many items that were “stashed” during his crime spree.
Tuesday morning list of probable charges included:
12 Theft of Property
12 Firearms Charges
10 Residential Burglary
1 Commercial Burglary
1 Stolen Car
1 Stolen ATV
Forrest remains in the Drew County Detention Facility.

Weeklong Search Ends with ADC Tracking Dogs Catching “DC’s Most Wanted Suspect”

Friday night, after a break-in was reported, Drew County Sheriff’s Deputies responsed to HWY 425, near the Lincoln County line, in their attempt to catch the suspect, also believed to be responsible for multiple residential and commercial burglaries, recently.
When the suspect jumped out of his vehicle and fled into the woods, ADC’s search dogs were called in, ariving around midnight, and searching until 4 am, when they believed the man had escaped with a passing driver. MPD and AG&F officers also assisted.
Saturday morning, the Lincoln Coumty Sheriff’s Dept. recieved a call reporting a break-in and theft, where guns reportedly stolen. They notified Drew County Deputies and called in the ADC search dogs.
The suspect allegedly stole a Rhino type vehicle, and escaped back into the woods, before officers arrived.
Around 12:40, Saturday afternoon, Timothy Forrest, of Monticello, was taken into custody in the back of a cattle pasture in Lincoln County, At the time of his arrest, Forrest had 2 guns in his possession, including 1 in his hand. When he was tackled by officers, he was taken into custody without any further resistance.
6 gusn and rifles were found hidden in the wooded area near a Lincoln Couny home, where one of the Saturday morning burglaries.
Forrest faces probable charges of multiple residential and commercial burglaries, theft of properties, and possession of firearms violations, as well as a parole warrant.
Reports indicate that at least two vehicles, along with a large undisclosed amount of cash, were also taken during one man crime spree.
Investigations continues by all local law enforcement depts, to locate the stolen items, and also any possilby relaterd theft cases.
Forrest is being held in the Drew County Detention Facility, pending his first appearance hearing
Lt. Tim Nichols of the DCSO want to express Drew County’s apprecation to the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ dog kennel, Arkansas Game & Fish officers, Monticello Police Department, and Lincoln County Sheriff’s office for their assiatance in this arrest..

feel sorry for the people he stole from.know how it feels.
If this is the same Timothy Forrest he has a long criminal record for similar crimes several years ago he is a habitual offender and need to be put a way for a long time.
I think its time to put this ole boy away for a while,hopefully a LONG while,we just cant have any tolerance or sympathy for people like this.folks work hard for their money and possessions.and for people like this that choose to steal instead of working for what they need is simply NOT acceptable!let him set in jail and think about what hes done and maybe he’ll think twice about stealing again.like they say…you do the crime…you do the time! And the “time” is now!
