Wanted: Old Photos of Ridgeway Hotel & Downtown Monticello
July 18th, 2011 by Joe BurgessIn preparation for the coming dedication of the downtown square and Ridgeway Monticello, the Monticello Downtown Revitalization Committee and Monticello Economic Development Commission need photos to include in a slide show for the public.
They are looking for photos of downtown Monticello and the Ridgeway Hotel from the 1930’s and 1940’s period. If you have photos that we can copy electronically, please contact 367-3076.

wish there was a structure like this still on the square. the old courthouse burned didnt it ?
I do too. No the old court house was torn down to build the new one, We alway tear down everything to make new.
I am the great-granddaughter of the developer/owner Jack Curry. I have a pen & ink of the Ridgeway. I also have a picture of the Allen Hotel as well. When is the dedication? Thank you, Ann Rossini
