Mrs. Gulledge has served 16 years as County Clerk, after working as a deputy clerk, in 2004.
She also told the Quorum Court JPs, Monday night, that two of her deputy clerks, who have been considering retirement, will also be leaving, at the end of the year.
Several of the JP ‘s, the County Judge, as well as the county attorney, expressed their appreciation to Mrs. Gullege, for her years of service.

Drew County 4-H has started a teen leader club for ages 13 through 19. This club teaches leadership, communication, and public speaking skills which will last a lifetime. Students will have the opportunity to take part in events and competitions on the local, state, and national levels which allow them to meet other youth and make lasting friendships. Our club is currently doing a series of videos displaying science projects, art ideas, and various life hacks staring members of the club. This week’s video features club President Bentley S. Bentley is 14 and also a member of Horse Club and a member of Drew County WHEP Team. He will be demonstrating an easy way portable way to fill a water balloon.
Judge Akin described the Cares Act $648,000 benefit to Drew County being dependent on finding providers to oversee food pantry distribution and rental assistance.
Probable sources to oversee these, as required by the governor, were suggested. They just need to be confirmed, before proceeding with the quorum court’s vote on the Cares Act.
To reduce confusion, based on the various parts of the sewer system repair, videos and comments will be separated into different listings.
