Videos of Poll Workers’ Meeting about Races that Won’t Be Counted
November 7th, 2016 by Joe Burgess
Friday afternoon, County Clerk Lyna Gulledge met with poll workers from the individual Drew County precincts, to explain details of this years election, including how to keep “court ordered” races from being publicly counted. Here’s how they will be handled.
Since there are 15 city initiatives and 2 state representatives races (Sheilla Lampkin’s unexpired term and the 2017-2018 term) that are being voided by the judicial system, the results of those races will not be made public.
The voting machines print out 3 “final copies” of the results. 1 of the copies will have those races marked out with a Sharpie. The other 2 copies will be enclosed in a sealed envelope, pending another court order.
