Update – Warren High School Fire
March 31st, 2022 by Joe BurgessAt 6:15 PM, Wednesday, a fire was reported at Warren High School, and is believed to have originated in or near the auxiliary gym, on the north end of the building.
That area was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. Responding agencies included Warren, Monticello, Bradley County Rural, and Banks fire departments.
Smoke was also seen coming from the eaves and doorways on the south end of the building.
Around 8 PM, during heavy rains, the fire was mostly contained. No information is available as to what started the fire or if anyone was in the building at the time.
Warren Schools will pivot to an AMI day, Thursday, as students and staff work remotely.
