Update on Winchester Fatality Crash
August 5th, 2021 by Joe BurgessAccording to the Arkansas State Police, Tuesday evening shortly after 10 PM, a Lincoln County lady was killed in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 138 (Winchester Rd.) and 65, south of Dumas.
Summer Thomas age 24, of Gould, was a passenger in a Saturn Ion, which attempted to travel across the southbound lane of Highway 65, near the Winchester Store.
The Saturn was struck by the rear wheels of a loaded southbound Freightliner, injuring three others, including a minor child.
Ms. Thomas was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Drew County Coroner.
The roadway was temporarily blocked, with southbound traffic detoured, till it could be reopened.
