Unusual Fire Destroys Truck

We’ve all heard where a vehicle started a grass fire. That was not the case, Thursday afternoon; in fact, it happened in reverse.
Around 4:15, the Monticello Fire Department received a page from dispatch sending them to a home on N. Slemmons St., for a truck fire.
When MFD arrived, it was obvious that a pile of debris had been burning in the backyard, spread across the dry grass, destroying the Ford pick-up, that was parked in the yard.
