Unopposed School Board Races /Mileage Election Ends Today

Voting has been completed for the uncontested Drew Central and Monticello school board races of Monticello’s zone 4 unopposed candidate, Curt Preston, and Curley Jackson, from Drew Central’s zone 1.
The mileage for both schools didn’t change, but state law still required a public vote on its approval.
Early and absentee voting was sufficient, due to the fact there were no contested races, in either district.
Traditional election vote counting will be held at 7:30, tonight in the courthouse.
As of Monday afternoon, 16 ballots had been cast, total.
