UAM’s Searcy Wins #4 In National Collegiate Rodeo Championships
June 21st, 2017 by iPhoneAbby Searcy, daughter of Charlie and Leslie Searcy, a junior member of the UAM rodeo team, completed over the past week and the National Collegiate Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming.
Searcy earned the #4 national ranking, after the wide range of rodeo competitions including bare-back, saddle-bronc, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, goat tying and barrel racing.
Abby is a 21 year old nursing major and is eligible for one more year of rodeo competition.
She won the title of Reserve Champion during the Ozark Region Rodeo collegiate competition, while qualifying for the national rodeo series.
Abby has been riding horses since she was 3 years old.
