UAM Student Dies In Louisiana Auto Accident
May 7th, 2018 by iPhoneUniversity of Arkansas at Monticello student Brody Nosal was killed, just before midnight, May 2, when Sterlington LA Police responded to an auto / pedestrian accident on Hwy 165 North near Nwy 2.
According to police, Nosal was outside of his vehicle that was pulled over into the grass, and may have been in the roadway when he was struck and killed by another vehicle that was northbound on Hwy 165.
Nosal was 21 years old and a junior forestry major from Sherwood who loved animals and being part of the UAM forestry program. He was the son of John Nosal and Melanie Nosal. Funeral arrangements are pending.
“On behalf of the entire university community, I want to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Brody Nosal,” said UAM Chancellor Karla Hughes. “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of someone so young and full of promise. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
According to myarklamiss.com, Nosal’s body has been sent to Little Rock for an autopsy.
