UAM Police Officer Killed In I-530 Car Crash
March 15th, 2019 by iPhoneThe following memorial statement was issued by UAM Chancellor Karla Hughes, regarding the Wednesday morning death of one of her police officers.
“The University of Arkansas at Monticello family is deeply saddened to announce that UAM Police Officer Iciephine Green passed away yesterday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. The accident occurred earlier that morning on Highway 530 south of Pine Bluff.
Officer Green was dedicated to law enforcement for over 12 years serving numerous agencies including the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Police Department, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Police Department and the Pine Bluff Police Department. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and had over 2000 hours of advanced law enforcement training.
Iciephine was 45 years old and was married to Mr. Curt Green of Pine Bluff. She was a Pine Bluff native. We are deeply saddened by this loss, and I hope you will join me in keeping Officer Green’s family in our thoughts and prayers.
UAM will be honoring Officer Green’s legacy in the future and I will announce funeral arrangements once they are available.”
