UAM Names Homecoming Court
October 10th, 2017 by iPhoneTwelve women have been selected to the 2017 homecoming court at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
UAM will celebrate homecoming October 21. The homecoming queen will be selected by a vote of the student body and announced during pre-game ceremonies prior to UAM’s football game with Southern Nazarene University.
The members of the court are:
• Mauri Armstrong of Lake Village, a senior political science major and the daughter of Rodger and Jennifer Armstrong. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, parliamentarian of the Student Government Association, a Peer Mentor and competes in Student Congress.
• Charlee Carter of Monticello, a junior business finance major and the daughter of Mark and Michelle Carter. She is treasurer of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and a member of the National Panhellenic Council.
• Lindsey Jo Clement of Sheridan, a senior general studies major and the daughter of Dennis and Alicia Clement. She is vice president of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, a member of Alpha Psi Gamma, the chamber and concert choirs and the Music Theatre Workshop.
• Katherine Craig of Hope, a senior music major and the daughter of David Craig and Tammy Watlington. She is a member of the marching band, jazz band and parliamentarian of Kappa Kappa Psi music fraternity.
• Amber Helms of Woodlawn, a junior nursing major and the daughter of Ken and Beverly Helms. She is a Student Ambassador and a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority and the Student Nurses Association.
• Haley Koenig of Lakeville, Minn., a senior biology and biochemistry double major and the daughter of Kyle and Kris Koenig. She is co-president of the Biology Club and a member of the Medical Sciences Club, Sigma Zeta Honor Society, and the chemistry research team.
• Makenzie Pierce of Hamburg, a senior biology and biochemistry double major and the daughter of Johnny Pierce and the late Melissa Pierce. She is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, the Biology Club, Sigma Zeta Honor Society and the Medical Science Club.
• Cassandra Pollock of Hamburg, a senior elementary education major and the daughter of Ronald and Renee Pollock. She is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority, Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity, the marching band, concert choir, Music Theatre Workshop and the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.
• Maggie Senn of Crossett, a senior natural sciences/dental hygiene major and the daughter of Robert and Teresa Stone and Jeff and Michelle Senn. She is a former member of the cheerleading squad and a member of the Biology Club and College Republicans.
• Deavon Smith-Collins of Foreman, a senior art major and the daughter of Nicole Denyse Collins and Toddrick Smith. She is vice president of Kappa Kappa Psi band fraternity, president of Zeta Phi Beta sorority and a member of the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.
• Sydnie Ware of Hamburg, a senior exercise science major and the daughter of Alisa Ware and the late Chris Ware. She is a member of the UAM cheerleaders, the Exercise Science Club and the Biology Club.
• Tessah West of DeWitt, a junior computer information systems major and the daughter of Jody and Jennifer West. She is a member of Chi Iota Sigma, the Institute of Management Accountants, Baptist College Ministries and the Missionary Baptist Student Fellowship.
