UAM Announces Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Director
November 29th, 2018 by UAM NewsThe University of Arkansas at Monticello announced today that Mrs. Aimee Weaver has started as the UAM Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) Director. The center is a University-based economic development program created to assist new and existing business owners with business creation, management, market research and growth, and is located within the UAM School of Business.
Weaver joined the UAM ASBTDC on October 16th as the new center director bringing with her an array of personal business ownership experience. Aimee has owned a restaurant and retail business, owned a consulting firm focusing on restaurant and hospitality businesses and has served as a field consultant for a restaurant franchise development group in Arkansas. Most recently she was a Business Banking Specialist for US Bank in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Aimee has a bachelor’s degree in business from UA Little Rock and as a business owner used the services of the ASBTDC in her area including participation in a high impact learning experience student project.
“I am honored to be able to assist business owners in the Delta and look forward to working and guiding them through an experience I am very familiar with. The ASBTDC is a great place to start when considering starting or expanding a business.” said Weaver.
The University of Arkansas at Monticello Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center provides training, research and consulting services to existing and potential business owners in Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew, Jefferson and Lincoln counties.
