UALR Nurturing Parenting Program Positions in Monticello
April 6th, 2016 by Joe BurgessMidSOUTH, the community outreach arm of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Social Work is seeking applicants for positions in the Nurturing Parenting Program at the Monticello Training Academy.
The Nurturing Parenting Program (NPP) positions will be responsible for the implementation of the Nurturing Parenting Program in partnership with the Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS). All NPP team members will be trained and certified in identified NPP models and will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all training activities related to the program. The NPP regional training team will consider the individual needs of families referred to the program and implement the programming accordingly. These are full-time, annually renewed grant-funded positions. The positions available are Parent Educator and Child Specialist.
The minimum qualifications for the Parent Educator are a Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, or related field, one year of experience with a human service organization (or student field placement), two years of experience conducting parenting classes or facilitating groups and the ability to work outside normal business hours.
