Truck Driver’s Lawyer Describes “The Perfect Storm ” to Jury – 12:15 Update
November 13th, 2013 by iPhoneAt 11 am, attorney Theotis Thompson told the jury
Childs, with 10 years experience, was driving an overweight asphalt truck, when he found himself facing ” the perfect storm .”
Thompson described oncoming traffic that including the line of cars and the train.
He continued that Childs didn’t know that the truck was overloaded, and tried to used the brakes , unsuccessfully, several times .
Thompson ended his statement by telling the jurors that thus case isn’t about using drugs, or alcohol, or texting while driving.

What did he mean when he said “This case is not about drugs, alocohol, or texting while driving?” What was he implying?
He’s implying the owner of the truck is at fault instead of the driver. I would have to disagree.
