Truck Crashes into Church
June 29th, 2021 by Joe BurgessSunday evening, around 7:30, a Drew County Deputy and an Arkansas State Trooper responded to Lacey Methodist Church, to the report of a truck crashing into the church.
The wrecked vehicle and driver were reportedly attempting to leave the scene on W. Lacey Rd., unsuccessfully, due to the amount of damage to the pick up.
Jay Foster was taken into custody by the trooper, after running into the woods on foot.
Foster told the officers that he was not driving the truck, but during a search of the vehicle for identification, a jar of a green leafy substance was located under the driver seat, along with digital scales. A bottle of hydrocodone with Foster’s name was located in the glove box, and the vehicle returned to Foster‘s mom.
Foster was arrested and transported to the Drew County Jail.
