Travel Club To Travel To Ireland, England, and Wales in July
January 28th, 2022 by SubmittedThe Travel Club sponsored by group leader Eva Arrington in conjunction with Education First Tours for students will be traveling July 2022 for 9 days to Ireland, England, and Wales.
First fly to Killarney, Ireland, students will learn first-hand about the Ring of Kerry, visit the Kerry Bog Village Museum then on to Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone. Next on to Dublin, gaze upon the Book of Kels from 800 AD, tour Georgian squares, O’Connell Street, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Phoenix Park, and St Stephen’s Green. Last, ferry ride to Holyhead, Wales to see Conwy’s suspension bridge and Conwy Castle built in 1283. Then on to England to Chester a walled cathedral city on the River Dee for a walking tour. Next, Stratford-upon-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and American Hathaway’s cottage. In London, see Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, House of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and in-depth tour of Windsor Castle.
Students will learn about culture, food, language, and currency while making new friends from an out of state partner school district.
