Transformer Blows 1,621 Customers Out of Power

Entergy is shown removing a tree from a powerline, near the Hyatt Street and College Street intersection.
The latest report estimates 8 PM for power to be restored, from Entergy.
At 5:55, p.m., Monticello police were notified of a transformer malfunction that cost approximately 1621 Entergy customers out of power service.
Also out of service at this time or most of the traffic lights in town, and most of the cash registers at local businesses.
