Train Derailment Track Repair on 35 East Approved by City Council- Video
November 14th, 2019 by iPhoneAround 5:30 PM, Thursday afternoon, there was a minor train derailment near War Eagle and Hood Packaging, on Highway 35 E.
The crossing, which has recently been noticed to need repair in the near future, apparently has had more wear on the track rails, which likely played a role in the wheels jumping tracks on 2-3 rail cars.
The crossing, across Highway 35, was closed for approximately 1.5-2 hours.
MPD, DCSO, OEM and Arkansas Midland responded as did other agencies.
No injuries were reported during the accident.
