Traffic Stop Becomes Drug Bust
March 29th, 2018 by iPhoneOn March 24, 2018 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Deputy Steven Stain conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Kenneth Adair in Monticello.
During the stop it was determined that Richard Shannon Ramsey, age 38, had a warrant out of Pine Bluff. Ramsey also had a small amount of marijuana.
A further search of the vehicle by Deputy Stain with the assistance of Monticello Police Officer William West, revealed approximately 7.2 grams of crystal like substance which is believed to be methamphetamine.
The substance was found by Officer West in a cigarette box which was located on the driver side of the vehicle.
Kenneth Adair, 42, of Monticello, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and placed in the Drew County Detention Facility on a $2,000.00 bond. Ramsey was transferred to Pine Bluff on active warrant out of Pine Bluff.
