October 27th, 2016 by Joe BurgessAccording to Sheriff Mark Gober, the driver of this New Holland tractor was westbound, just east of the highway 138 & 293 intersection, when he tried to veer to the right on a bridge, as a pick up was approaching.
The right wheels of the tractor climbed onto the bridge’s safety railing, causing the driver to fall into the floor of the tractor cab.
The tractor then crossed over the bridge rail, rolling over, losing its roof and a tire, before landing upright and continuing to drive down the ditch bank.
The approaching truck was able to stop, and was not involved in the crash.
