Tipton Named as National Emerging Leader Award Winner
August 1st, 2016 by SubmittedPark Tipton, PT, DPT, of Monticello, was recently named by the Board of Directors of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as a 2016 recipient of the Emerging Leader Award.
The Emerging Leader Award honors individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary service to the profession of physical therapy and to the APTA early in their careers. Tipton is one of only 26 physical therapists across the nation named as a 2016 recipient of the award.
Tipton is a physical therapist at South Arkansas Rehabilitation in Monticello. He also serves the Arkansas Physical Therapy Association (ArPTA) as Federal Affairs Liaison, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the ArPTA. He is a 2011 graduate from the doctoral program in physical therapy at the University of Central Arkansas.
In a letter announcing the award, Sharon L. Dunn, PT, PhD, OCS, President of the APTA, expressed the sentiments of the APTA Board of Directors to Mr. Tipton, writing, “We thank you and are extremely appreciative of the effective leadership qualities that you consistently illustrate, and that have made you an obvious choice for this award. You have been recognized as an individual who has made exceptional overall accomplishments and contributions to the Association and to the physical therapy profession.” Nat Grubbs, owner of South Arkansas Rehabilitation added, “Park is indeed an outstanding young professional, and he is passionate, intelligent, and hard-working in his efforts to promote and serve the profession of physical therapy and the patients served by physical therapists. That he is being recognized for his leadership and service by our national association as one of only 26 physical therapists across the country is an awesome honor, and I, along with his colleagues at South Arkansas Rehabilitation, am really proud of him and happy for him.”

i got good things to say about this young man he took me and treated me with physial therapy and he pursued my health issues with UAMS and made sure i got diagnosed and treated for my medical issues and he is still my therapist i hurt for 12 years and i still hurt but he is determined to better my health he is the best coach you can ask for he is very professional all i got to say about him is good and UAMS knows all about him cause i praise his work Park Tipton Natt is very fortunate to have you working for him you are the best im very proud of you may you bless your patients with your good work
