“The Travel Club’s” Spring Break Adventure
April 26th, 2022 by SubmittedIn conjunction with Education First Tours, The Travel Club logged 9,433 miles during spring break. First, students flew to London and explored famous sites like Piccadilly Circus, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, witnessed changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and rode The Big Eye. Next, they toured the quaint town of Canterbury. Then, they crossed the English Channel to Normandy by ferry. Students showed their respect to our fallen soldiers from WWII D-Day at the American Cemetery and held a moment of silence on Omaha Beach. After a stay in St. Malo, they visited the Mont Saint-Michael. Last, students took in the sites of Paris including the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and Champs-Elysees. The ten days educational experience culminated when students rode to the 1,024 foot high top of the Eiffel Tower and viewed the glittering lights of Paris under the night sky.
