The Grinches Who Stole the 4th of July Fireworks Go To Jail
July 4th, 2017 by iPhoneAccording to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober, when the fireworks stand on HWY 278 W. opened for business, Monday morning, they realized that approximately $1000 in merchandise had been stolen overnight.
Several boxes of fireworks were taken during the theft.
Micheal Campbell and Jeremiah Noel, both age 28, both of Monticello, were arrested on the fireworks theft at a residence on Bell Street in Monticello, around 9 PM Monday evening, by Drew County deputies.
Campbell is facing charges of felony theft by receiving. Noel is accused of felony theft of property and commercial burglary.
Both men are being held without bond in the Drew County Detention Facility until their first appearances.
All of the stolen property was recovered.
