The Call Come & Go Open House, July 20th 10am-2pm
July 19th, 2024 by SubmittedThe CALL in Southeast Arkansas invites the community to a come-and-go, walk-through Open House in the new downtown space for The CALL Support Center of Southeast Arkansas! The Open House will be held on July 20, 2024 between 10am and 2pm. The CALL Support Center is located at 103 N. Main Street in Monticello. Parking, a lemonade stand, and a food truck will be available in the public parking lot accesible by Church St.
The CALL Support Center of Southeast Arkansas currently houses staff and volunteer work space, The CALL Mall (free shopping boutiques for all children and families impacted by foster care), and The CALL Resource Libraries (books, videos, and sensory tools for children and families impacted by foster care). Under development within the Support Center is the Family Visit Center where children and families currently separated in foster care will be able to have confidential and comfortable visits. The CALL Community Room is also under development; it will provide a meeting and training space for the local community to be educated and equipped to serve those impacted by foster care in Southeast Arkansas. More than a physical space, The CALL considers its Support Center to be a context for the local community to serve and minister to children and families impacted by foster care.
Leadership team members and staff will be providing tours, CALL Merchandise will be available for purchase, and Wish Lists to help finish out the Support Center will be accessible at the Open House.
A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting will be scheduled later in the fall once all portions of the Support Center are completed.Co
