Thank You Note to Baseball Backers
September 1st, 2015 by iPhoneOn behalf of the 2015 Monticello American Legion baseball team, I would like to thank this season’s sponsors for all of their wonderful support:
Ryburn Motor Company, Ray Ryburn Real Estate, Commercial Bank & Trust, James Gathings (Auto Mart), Drew Merrell (Maximum Forestry) and Nat Grubbs (Southeast Rehab).
In addition, thanks go out to Ben Philley for his work in collecting donations, and I also thank Ben, along with Ronnie Williams, for organizing and assisting with the 1st Annual Salute to Service, which was a great event!
Starting the league from complete scratch was difficult and even though we were very rushed in completing our roster in time, we made it and had a good season. We had a blast this year and I really enjoyed being around the great group of young men on the team this year. I especially want to thank our coaching staff; Neal Stanley, Drew Merrill, and John Paul Jeffers, for all of the hard work and hours they put in with our team at the ball field.
The league is in good shape to start up next year, which I look forward to once again. I am proud to be a part of bringing American Legion Baseball back to life in Monticello and truly grateful for the support from everyone involved, including our sponsors, for without them, this season would not have been possible. Once again, I thank you all!
