this is what happens when the law keeps getting more leniant and being concerned about the rights of predators. Who wants to make a difference?
I don’t feel that it is the law being leniant as much as it is the manpower to enforce it. Offenders greatly out the number of officers that can keep them in check and untill that changes, this unfortunately will be a rising problem. It was very good work by Law Enforcement in catching this person. Had she not escaped to call for help, who knows how far it would have gone? I would fear that Law Enforcement would have wound up working a homicide rather than the case the filed.
This is true that the predators do out number law enforcement personel by a large ratio. This is even more the reason for people to legally own and carry personal protection. The more citizens are proactive in this manor the less we’ll hear of these horrible crimes. An armed society is a polite society. It is also a much more responsible society. There would be much more money for crime prevention instead of crime prosicution and probation / parole. I am very proud the victim escaped and pray they refuse to be a victim ever again.
She didn’t even go 2 court….so they dropped most of the charges
Unknown, you need to stop it…. so what if she didn’t go to court, she is the victim of this sex offender that is registered as one. you don’t have a clue unknown. what if that was you? have it happen to you and you never told? would you go to court in look this crazy person in the eye and tell the court that he almost took your life? probably NOT.
Monticello is so far behind in time that some of you guys need to wake up. it’s 2010, not the 1950’s. the court needs to lock him up that he don’t see the light of day for a long time. just to let him see what it’s like if the shoe was on the other foot..
Testpilot is right, because thats why I’m legal to carry my personal protection. because if that was me, thank God that it’s wasn’t me. because one of us wouldn’t be here to tell the story..
To the victim be strong God is still good, all the time and all the time God is still good…
