Talent On Parade Awards results from Monticello Dance Academy

Monticello Dance Academy’s competition team attended the Talent on Parade regional competition in Hot Springs May 4-6. We took 38 numbers to the competition and came home with the following adjudications:
5 Double Diamonds
30 Diamonds
3 Elites
1 Category Cup won by Madelyn Terry for her lyrical solo
4 Special Judges’ Awards
2 Scholarships to the Holiday Spectacular
We had 23 numbers receive overall placements!! Four were 2nd overall, one was 3rd overall, four were 4th overall, three were 5th overall, two were 6th overall, three were 7th overall, one was 8th overall, two were 9th overall, and three were 10th overall placements! MDA students that were chosen to participate in the Top Stars Program at nationals are Sidney Ballard, Madelyn Terry, Keller Bigham, and Karissa Morman. Chloe Sanders Karissa Morman received a full scholarship to one of the conventions hosted by this competition. All of these students are under the instruction of Allison Neill. Choreographers for the routines include Allison Neill, Toni Findley, Charlee Carter, Kyle Plunkett, Angel Hairston, and Shelly Butcher.
