Summary of Water Quality Discussion at City Council Meeting
July 28th, 2021 by Joe BurgessThe water quality portion of the City Council meeting, Monday night began with Jeff Stone, from the drinking water division (engineering) of the Arkansas Department of Health.
The engineer described the past few years water history, including chlorine and naturally occurring ammonia, within the system.
Stone emphasized the importance of having a full-time licensed water operator, for the city of Monticello. Later in the meeting, Mayor Paige Chase stated that the city is searching for a level 4 operator, for that position.
