Suicide Pact Led to Fatal Fire

During the early morning hours of October 21, the Drew County Sheriff’s Office, Monticello Fire Department and other first responders were dispatched to 134 Jose Chapel Cutoff Rd. in reference to a house fire.
A neighbor was able to get the occupants out of the house.
Bobby Robison was pronounced deceased at Drew Memorial Hospital; his wife, Theresa Robison, was transported to a Little Rock hospital to seek medical attention and has since been released.
It was unknown what Mr. Robison died from, so his body was sent to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Sheriff’s deputies have been investigating the fire, along with the death, and have determined that Mr. Robison died due to “self inflicted suicide in the form of medication”.
It is believed the fire was started by someone placing a bag of trash on the stove and igniting it.
After interviews were conducted of Ms. Robison, it was discovered that she and her husband had agreed to conduct a joint suicide.
Ms. Robison stated that they decided to do so after a previous investigation which began on October 20.
The Arkansas State Crime Lab Medical Examiner has confirmed the cause of death of Mr. Robison, but are still waiting on further test results.
Both investigations are still pending at this time.
