Student Arrested for Shotgun in Truck, Again.
August 29th, 2013 by Joe BurgessA MHS ALE senior was found to have Benelli shotgun in his truck, last Tuesday afternoon, after he told his teachers about the weapon.
The school contacted their resource officer, who obtained the student’s permisssion to search the vehicle.
This 17 year old student was found with a 7 mm deer hunting rifle in his truck, last February.
In that case, the school board voted to send the student to boot camp, through the end of that semester. This semester, he enolled “in school suspension” through the end of September; where he was when this event occurred.
The juvenille has not been named, due to his age.
The student attended ALE at the City Park campus, was parked by the park pavilion, which is not school property.
He was sentenced to 3 days in the White River Juvenille Unit, which has already been served.
The Monticello School Board is expected to have this issue on their next meeting agenda.
