Strategic Planning Survey Meeting, THURSDAY

A Public Involvement Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m at the MEDC office.
The format of the meeting will be come and go. Outcomes from the 2007 Strategic Plan will be shared and participants will be asked to share opinions of the 2007 outcomes as well as give input on goals and objectives for the 2015 plan.
The Monticello Economic Development Commission has released a survey for public input toward their 2015 Strategic Plan for Economic Development. Monticello EDC director, Nita McDaniel asks everyone to participate through the survey. “Strategic Planning is a proactive step toward growth.
The 2007 Plan set forth goals and objectives which have helped to propel Monticello upward as the leader in southeast Arkansas.” McDaniel stated. “I encourage all of our residents, both within the city limits of Monticello and in Drew County, to take a few minutes to participate.”

Component areas are: Community Beautification; Community Development; Education; Business and Industry; Health Care; Housing; Technology; Transportation; Workforce Development; and Marketing.
Committees will be formed and participants from the Public Involvement Meeting will be asked to volunteer for service on Component Committees.
