Storm Damage in Florence Area – Updated Photos

Around 1:30, Friday afternoon, a “stronger than it appeared” thunderstorm rolled through Drew County, leaving in its path fallen trees, watch roadways, and damage homes, northeast of Monticello.
Most of the damage occurred in the Florence Road area, near Highway 277.
Other damage was also reported on Highway 293, north of Pine Hill.
Chances are the damage was done by strong, straight-line winds.
