Storage Sheds Gutted when Grass Fire Flares

At least 5 rental storage units were destroyed, along with their contents, by an out-of-control grass fire, Sunday morning around 11:30.
The storage sheds, located behind Fred’s and AutoZone, on Westgate Drive, caught fire, after a grass fire on the east end of the building circled around the back and entered the units through the back walls.
The Monticello Fire Department and Police Department responded to the blaze, where each unit had to be extinguished, individually.
