Stolen Truck Recovered Thanks to MPD & GPS
December 13th, 2021 by Joe BurgessRecently, at 2 AM on a Thursday morning, a work truck was stolen from S. Texas St., and eventually recovered at Oakview Apartments on College Street, after having been driven to 5 locations, all over town.
MPD and the truck’s keeper contacted the work crew supervisor of the vehicle, who by using GPS) identified the addresses where it had been driven, and its current location.
Timothy Gaston, age 19, of Monticello, was charged with ttheft of a vehicle under $25,000 but over $5000.
Gaston received a $20,000 bond.
The truck was recovered and returned to its owner.
