Stolen Truck Found in Local Pond

A HWY 278 East man reported a red Ford pick-up stolen from his home, Monday morning.
The vehicle next to the truck was also ransacked for money and items
The stolen trucks owner told MPD officers that the truck was low on fuel, so they then located the convenience store where the suspect bought some gas.
The Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating multiple break-ins and thefts, where the stolen truck was reportedly used.
The stolen truck was recovered, later Monday, submerged in a local pond.
Both MPD and DCSO are conducting ongoing investigations.
