Stolen Trailer Recovered, Suspect Arrested
August 1st, 2022 by Joe BurgessOn July 12, Deputy Anthony Atkins took a report of a stolen utility trailer from the Winchester cotton gin.
The next day, the sheriffs office received a call that the stolen trailer was located at a pawn shop in Monticello.
During the course of the investigation Christopher Ward, age 39, of Warren, was identified as a suspect.
Ward was arrested and charged with theft of property over $1000. He appeared before Circuit Judge Crews Puryear for a first appearance and his bond was set at $2500 commercial.
