State Republican Party Asks Jim Hall to Withdraw from State Rep. Race – Hall Says, “No”

August 26th, 2016 by

Jim HallRepublican Party of Arkansas Chairman, Doyle Webb, issued the following statement calling for the resignation of candidacy from House District 9 Nominee, Jim Hall.

“In view of the Arkansas Court of Appeals affirming Jim Hall’s conviction of harassment and harassing communications, it is now obvious that he should focus on putting his personal life in order rather than running for public office. His actions do not reflect the values of the Republican Party of Arkansas. Therefore, I call on Jim Hall, House District 9 nominee, to resign his candidacy,” said Republican Party of Arkansas Chairman, Doyle Webb.

————————–

On November 5, 2015, I sat down with Doyle Webb, RPA state chairman, and was completely truthful and transparent.

In spite of the ongoing appeal and the objections of the county chair, the Republican Party of Arkansas took my $3000 filing fee and allowed me to file as a Republican for the House District 9.

Lacking a primary opponent, I moved forward as the Republican nominee. The RPA had 4 days left to find a primary opponent and they did not.

On Wednesday the Arkansas Court of Appeals denied my appeal, an action we fully expected. Today I filed for a review and stay of sentence. I pledged to continue to fight this appeal until all appeals are exhausted on the federal level.

I am innocent of these charges and have the evidence to prove it. Evidence that Prosecutors denied me at trial in a Brady Disclosure violation. This action could take more than two years.

I also filed an appeal today with the Arkansas Department of Human Services, arguing a “conflict of interest” existed at the time several child maltreatment investigations were dismissed as “no preponderance of evidence” concerning my ex-wife.

Seeing that the three main ARDHS-DCFS employees involved in the case have recently retired/resigned, I have a right to an appeal of the child maltreatment case.

In response to the RPA and Doyle Webb: I decline to withdraw from this race. Numerous voters have contacted me and begged me to keep fighting for both them and my family. I am a Christian, a Conservative and a Republican, and in that order. The RPA has never endorsed my campaign nor financed it. They gave several Republican candidates without primary opponents excess to their GOP database and funding in February. I was told to wait until June, then until July, then until August….. Thankfully the data information I need was provided to me by the Secretary of State Office for $2.50. I have been consulting with legal counsel concerning action against the RPA and the county committees. The RPA is in violation of its own party rules, state law and President Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment: Speak no ill of a fellow Republican.

I remain the Republican nominee for the House 9 general election and the write-in candidate for the special election.

WASN’T HE THE ONE WHO JUST ASKED THE MAYOR TO STEP DOWN BECAUSE HE WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND THE MAYOR DECLINED? NOW I’M NOT JUDGING ANYONE BUT DON’T ASK SOMETHING OF SOMEONE WHO IS IN OFFICE IF YOUR NOT WILLING TO DO IT YOURSELF. YOUR NOT HELPING THE CITY!!

  2. Ross Norris says:

HOW can a man stand up in a city counsel meeting and call for a Mayor to step down ( who is still under investigation..and NOT convicted of anything yet.) when HE ( Jim Hall ) has been convicted and now has lost his appeal …and Refuse to step down as a candidate ?? . NOT saying the Mayor is right …just saying he has not had his day in court YET….BUT JIM HALL has had his day ..and WAS found guilty !!!!
