Simmons Donates to Seark Concert Association
February 9th, 2022 by Joe BurgessRecently, Simmons First Foundation distributed grant funds to entities in the Monticello community.
The Seark Concert Association was awarded $25,000 for the SMArts (Schools Majoring in the Arts) program. Seark Concert Association’s goals are to promote interest and enjoyment in the performing arts for all of the Southeast Arkansas area. SMArts addresses the need by offering high quality performing arts programming to the students of Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew and Lincoln counties at no charge to the students or schools. SMArts is setup so that each grade gets to experience a unique performance.
“These entities are truly making a difference in their community. The Simmons First Foundation is proud to play a part in improving the lives of youth in the Monticello and Southeast Arkansas area” stated Shannon Morgan, Grant Coordinator of the Simmons First Foundation.
