Shoplifting Charge dropped against Alderman
May 5th, 2017 by iPhoneA Monticello city council member, who was recently accused of shoplifting, has had the charges against him dropped by the court.
Al Peer was accused of shoplifting at Walmart in December by a store employee, for alleged actions that took place in the self-check-out area of the store.
The prosecuting attorney in the case described it by saying, “I don’t think he intentionally tried to steal anything.”
District Judge Bruce Anderson recently agreed with the decision and nolle prossed the case
