Shooting at Local Home Leads to Arrest of 19 Year old
July 21st, 2022 by Joe BurgessOn June 29, 2022 deputies were dispatched to 183 Seventh Day Camp Road in reference to someone shooting at a residence. Multiple rounds struck the residence and a boat that was parked in front of the residence.
During the course of the investigation Aiden Thompson, age 19 of Monticello, was identified as a suspect.
On July 11, 2022 an arrest warrant for Aiden Thompson was signed by Judge Robert Gibson charging Thompson with a Terroristic Act. On July 12, Aiden Thompson was arrested.
On July 14, 2022 Thompson appeared before Judge Crews Puryear for a first appearance. Thompson’s bond was set at $25,000 commercial. Thompson has bonded out of jail.
The investigation is ongoing and other arrest are expected in the case.
