Shelton St. on Truck Route??
November 15th, 2012 by Joe BurgessRemember the old “one of these things doesn’t belong here” line from Sesame Street?
That seems to be the case, as a loaded log truck was photographed turning from East Shelton St. onto S. Main, recently.
Cherry Street is open to log trucks. Old Dermott is not. Shelton St. appears to fall into that “undecided” category.

Yes Cherry St. is open to these trucks, but it is a danger to any one on this street went they fly down the road.I live on Cherry St. and have seen dump trucks and loggers stopping to let each other pass because the road is so narrow they can’t drive it at the same time. These trucks coming down the hill will hit 40 45 miles an hour before they get half way to the first intersection.I’m afraid that one of the young kids will be hit this summer by one of them. These streets were not made for these big trucks, the firing range road is already showing bad dips in the road where road is coming apart.
