Sex Offender Compliance Check Leads to 4 Arrests

Thursday, the Monticello Police Department, Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Unit, U.S. Marshall Service and Arkansas Probation and Parole conducted Operation “Safe Watch”.
Over the past three months, these agencies gathered information on all sex offenders that were registered inside Monticello. This operation was a compliance check on all 30 sex offenders who reside inside the city limits to make sure they were living were they are suppose to be.
At approximately 8:30am, 18 officers from the agencies involved left the staging area at the Monticello Police Department. During the day long compliance check, [3] people were arrested for not being in compliance. [1] was arrested for drug violations and [2] arrest warrants will be issued for offenders who have moved out of town or out of state. The three arrested for registry violations went before Judge Sara Hartness this afternoon and received bonds of $5,000.

Bobby Eugene Price – Arrested
Lewis Ray – Arrested

Patrick Sherlock Holmes was arrested for drugs and drug paraphernalia, during the operation.

I don’t believe a convicted sex offender should be allowed to bond out of jail when they have committed a registry violation. When they are released from jail on the original offense, they are made well-aware of these requirements. If they do not comply with these requirements, they should be returned to jail and be retried with violation of sex
Offender laws. No more chances…ask their victims what they think.

I’m just here to say that you men and women shouldn’t judge all sex offenders the same. Yes most of them do commit the horrible crimes th they are accused of BUT some of them do not. Rape is very wrong. Hhow ever if the problem is you’re girlfriend or boyfriend doesn’t meet the age requirements and you’re only 4 and a half years apart and you get caught, they make you a sex offender? Come on. No one out there can say they haven’t or their parents didn’t do the same thing. This may not be the case wth these men but I only feel the need to comment because it upsets me so much to see people judge others when half of the time they don’t know their story. So you guys think about why someone is classified as what they are before you start leaving rude comments everywhere. Not all sex offenders raped someone and not all deserve to be on that list. Theres two sides to every story.
I agree. There are two sides to every story.
AND it appears they were both presented at trial, AND these people were convicted. THEN they violated their terms to “out on the street”. They should be checked on more often.

I totally agree with the last comment. People are so quick to judge just as I did before I became a sex offender. The police rushed my house and hauled me off to jail as well just so happen I had my ducks in a row. I have to live the rest of my life as a sex offender and follow the rules and regulations if not I get violated. My innocence is irrelevant because I was convicted. Yes there r some weirdos and creeps that shud b pressed hard and checked on regularly but not all sex offenders r actually a sex offender.
@mynameisnotyourbusiness… Your comment sounds as though it was based on personal experience. 4.5 years… That would mean an 18 year old and someone who was 13.5 years old (just as an example)… That’s sick. People that go after CHILDREN that young are just looking for an easy target. If they’re not of legal age to consent then leave them alone. It’s sick. There’s no reason for a grown man/woman to “date” someone who isn’t of legal age. Why would they even be hanging out with that age group anyway? Once people are adults it’s different, but it shouldn’t be a thing of “no, I’m sorry I can’t take you to the middle school dance, I have to work in the morning”.
not all should be judged the same, but one of these DEFINITELY needs to be on that list. I’m glad they caught up to him.
As I say and will always say…. my husband is a level 1 hr has not done anything wrone. His is for having a relationship with a girl younger then him when he was 20. You guys don’t know everything…….the only person who truly should judge is God our savior!!!! We are all human and not perfact!

@seriously? You’re absolutely right. I commented from MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Not 13 years old though but actually you would be surprised at the 13 year olds now that have sex and their parents don’t even know it. I was a few months from being 15 and he had just turned 19 a couple of months before. It’s funny though because in some cases people would say a 19 year old isnt grown. Lol and then in some cases they say. You’re nineteen grow up. So really it’s all just a matter of opinion and like I said earlier, people are too quick to judge. I’m sure your parents or grandparents. And maybe even great grandparents had a relationship with 1 under 18 and the other well over 21. The fact is, some people get caught and some people don’t so the ones who don’t never get judged. As a matter of fact the officer who caught us said that he had in fact had a relationship with an older woman when he was 16! But he’s not in trouble and no one judges.. Also it’s quiet funny I think because I will be 21 in June. Whenever I turned 18 I moved in with the guy who is now a “sex offender”. Everything is great. We are getting married. I love him very much and he loves me. I go with him every time he has to register and hell if take the picture with him if I could. I’m not ashamed. I said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times. People are way to fast to judge someone else. If it was your daughter, son, niece, nephew, dad, brother, or whoever, that was accused and convicted not because he actually raped someone but just had a relationship at the wrong time, maybe you would understand and wouldn’t be so hateful.
Look here, All this stuff is wrong! Not all this information is true! My dad is not a “Weirdo” ! Yes he USED to do stupid stuff but I mean we all have a past! Noone is perfect everyone has done something in there life thwy regret! My father had turned his life over to Christ! He is a strong and devoted man! Yes he madr a mistake 20 YEARS AGO !!!!!! Well if they were charged without a doubt then GET THE KNIFE OUT, then lock them up and they should never get out!!! WE have too many of these cases out here today when there is too many loose women to get it from. but no, they prefer young things. Cut it off and make them pay, and their names should be out there.
