SEARK Reading Council Presents Awards
June 9th, 2022 by Joe BurgessMembers of SEARK Reading Council recently nominated literacy leaders from Southeast Arkansas to be honored at this year’s Celebrate Literacy Spring meeting.
Kallee Laudell, a 7th grade Monticello Middle School student placed second in the Arkansas Literacy Association state writing contest.
Karen Robinson, K-12 Literacy Specialist at the Southeast Coop, was given the Educator in Literacy Award for her work throughout Southeast Arkansas in Literacy. Educators from Star City and DeWitt were also recognized.
SEARK Reading Council meets three times per year and has the primary goal of getting books into the hands of children in Southeast Arkansas.
